STARS Board Of Review
The STARS Board of Review makes recommendations to the Wyoming Department of Family Services and Wyoming STARS regarding the STARS program. Ultimately, the decision-making power rests with the Wyoming Department of Family Services. The STARS Board of Review has four meetings annually as needed. Board members are expected to attend all meetings and be active participants. The STARS Board of Review members hold three-year terms.
STARS Board Of Review FAQ
- Do they have to travel to meetings? Yes, on occasion although many meetings are via conference call.
- Are board members paid? No
- If board members have to travel to meetings do they get reimbursed for expenses? Yes, board members are reimbursed for mileage and meals at the state rate. If there is an overnight stay the Wyoming Children’s Action Alliance will pay for the hotel room.

State Training and Resource System (STARS) Complaint Process
The STARS Board of Review serves as the review body for decisions made by the STARS program. If you feel that STARS policy or decision making has been unfair in your case there is a process to bring this to the attention of the Board of Review. The Board can review your written complaint and make a recommendation to STARS and to the Department of Family Services, Early Childhood Division administrator.
